So, if we can be of some help to you give us a call or write to us with your problem. We will do our best to open the Medicine Cabinet of the Word of God and give you a spiritual antidote. Let me leave you with this thought. Make sure you take your spiritual vitamin "B"ible daily. Don't just put it in your hand, but swallow it in your heart. For we all know the best way to stay healthy is to exercise and take certain precautions to ward off sickness. An ounce of precaution and prevention is worth many pounds of cure! When
God called me to Southside Baptist Church He gave me a burden for
the people in this area. Borrowing a statement I had heard some
years ago that I believed described our ministry direction, we set
out on the mission God led us into. Our Church is somewhat unique
in that we are a place for the healing of sinners. Thus our
statement of purpose, "A Hospital For Sinners And Not A Hotel For
Saints". It is our commitment to Christ and the community He placed
us in, not to screen anyone in need of help be it spiritual, mental,
or physical. All of us know that a hospital is not to choose its
patients, and so it is with us. We are here to meet the needs of the
patients, (sinners and saints alike). We realize that needs vary,
as do the patients that God sends our way. We also know that
whomever God sends our way, He equips us with that ability to meet
their needs. Our Hospital ministries have been expanding day by
day. When people come in we try to give a Biblical prescription for
what ever ails them. Once we give them the Biblical medication it
then becomes their responsibility to take the medicine. One of the
things that I demand of all our membership, is that they keep their
opinions to themselves. We should never give sin sick patients an
opinion when the perfect medication of the Word of God is available!
